MOORHEAD, MN - A Bismarck, N.D. man who was arrested in connection with a politically-motivated road rage fit in Moorhead had two loaded guns inside his vehicle. Twenty-seven-year-old Joseph Schumacher has been charged with carrying weapons without a permit, unlawful transportation of firearms and disorderly conduct. One of the charges is a gross misdemeanor, the others are misdemeanors. Schumacher is accused of pulling alongside a woman's car, displaying a pistol and yelling at her about an Elizabeth Warren sticker on her car. Schumacher had a sticker in support of President Trump. A criminal complaint says Schumacher was wearing a Trump 2020 cap when police located him in a nearby restaurant. The complaint says Schumacher told police that he believed he had been flirting with the woman and denied holding up a gun. Police found a loaded pistol in the center console of Schumacher's vehicle. The second gun was in the backseat area. Schumacher does not have a concealed weapon permit. A judge released Schumacher on a personal recognizance bond with a promise not to miss future court appearances.
