Two Die in Separate Crashes in Nocollet County Monday

UNDATED--A deadly day in Nicollet County Monday as two people die in two separate car-versus-semi crashes.
A St. Peter teen died Monday morning in a car vs semi crash in Nicollet County. The Minnesota State Patrol says just after 11:20 am, a southbound car on Highway 111, driven by a 17-year old female from St. Peter collided with a northbound semi at mile post 4, Granby Twp. The teen died at the scene. The semi driver, 62 year old John Magnan of Detroit Lakes was not injured. The Patrol report stated the road was snow and ice covered at the time of the accident.
Monday afternoon, a New Ulm woman was killed in a when her car and a semi collided at a Highway 14 and Nicollet County Road intersection. The State Patrol says just before 1:30 pm a semi, driven by 44 year old Daniel Brunberg of Roseville was traveling east on Hwy 14 amd a car driven by 45 year old Naomi Peterson of New Ulm was Northbound on Nicollet Co Rd 37, and the vehicles collided at the intersection. Peterson died at the scene. Brunberg was not injured. Roads were snow and ice covered at the time of the accident.
