PELICAN RAPIDS (KBRF) - In a media release, The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says that two level three sex offenders are or have been released into the area.
28 year old Gregory Michael Keppers will be moving into the rural Erhard area on Tuesday, Sepember 4th, and 31 year old Andrew Lee Kruft, moved into the rural Pelican Rapids area, as of Friday August 17th.
A Community Notification Meeting has been scheduled for Monday, Aug. 27 at 6PM at the meeting room in the Lake Region Electric Cooperative building, 1401 S. Broadway, in Pelican Rapids. Representatives from the Department of Corrections and the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office will be available to answer any questions on public safety and the monitoring process.
It is important to point out that neither offender is wanted by the police at this time and has served their sentences imposed on them by the court. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office also states that the notification is not intended to increase fear in the community. Law enforcement believes that an informed public is a safer public. The risk level of both offenders has been determined largely on their potential to re-offend based on their previous behavior.
