Two Separate Injury Accidents Reported Tuesday on Highway 71 in West Central MN

UNDATED--An Apple Valley woman was injured after the vehicle she was traveling in on Highway 71 in Hubbard County was rear-ended Tuesday afternoon. The Minnesota State Patrol says a Toyota Sienna was travelling Southbound on Highway 71 and stopped for a vehicle turning East onto 150th Street when a second southbound vehicle came into contact with the Sienna and came to a rest in the Southbound lane of Highway 71. A 62-year-old female passenger in the Sienna was transported to the Park Rapids hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The 56 year old male driver of the Sienna also from Apple Valley was not injured. The 19 year old female driver and her two femal passengers ages 19 and 20, all from Fort Worth Texas, were not injured. The accident happened just after 4:00 pm.
Motorcycle vs Deer Accident Tuesday Morning near Sebeka
A Red Wing man was injured early Tuesday morning on Highway 71 near Sebeka in a motorcycle vs deer accident. The Minnesota State Patrol says just before 5:30 am the motorcycle was traveling South on Highway 71 at 260th St. South of Sebeka, when it struck a deer. The 28 year old male driver was taken to Tri-County Hospital in Wadena with non life-threatening injuries.
