Two Young Children Injured in Rear-End Accident Saturday Near Detroit Lakes

DETROIT LAKES, MN--Two young children were injured in a two vehicle accident near Detroit Lakes Saturday morning. The State Patrol says just after 10:00am a car and a pickup were both traveling south on Highway 59 near milepost 259 when the pickup stopped in the southbound lane waiting to make a left turn and the car rear-ended the pickup. A three year old female child and a 5 year old male child in the Honda were taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes with non life threatening injuries. Neither the driver of the car, 40 year old Casey Moltzan of Vergas, or the driver of the pickup, a man from Roseau, were injured.
